Knowledge and experience sharing webinars

ADVANCE Knowledge and Experience Sharing Webinars were held on March 14^th and March 21^st 2025.

Webinar 1: Sharing Experiences in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship aimed to provide an opportunity for the project partners to exchange experience in the field of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Each partner institution delivered a 15-minute presentation on their activities related to SIE.

Webinar 2: Overview of Desk Research Results aimed to provide a forum for discussing the literature review results on the following topics:

• Definition and main characteristics of social innovation and social entrepreneurship in the context of East Africa
• Existing competence frameworks related to social innovation and social entrepreneurship
• Approaches, strategies, methods and techniques of social innovation and social entrepreneurship education, with a focus on experiential learning and service-learning methodologies
• Strategies for assessment of social innovation and social entrepreneurship competences (project-based, scenario-based, portfolio-based assessment)
• Engaging stakeholders in social innovation and social entrepreneurship education (how SIE ecosystem actors could contribute and be involved in SIE education in the context of East Africa)
• Overview of existing study programmes in the field of social innovation and social entrepreneurship in Europe and Africa

The workshops allow the ADVANCE team to create a common understanding of the social innovation and social entrepreneurship field, and exchange knowledge and experience related to SIE education in Europe and Africa.
