Methodology
The ADVANCE project design is built on the curriculum development methodology that consists of four iterative phases:
- Planning
- Needs analysis through stakeholder surveys and consultation meetings
- Formation of curriculum development teams
- Distribution of roles and responsibilities
- Design and development
- Defining learning outcomes
- Creating a curriculum structure
- Selecting content
- Designing learning activities and assessment strategies
- Producing teaching-learning materials
- Validation of the curriculum through consultation meetings with internal and external stakeholders, followed by improvement, internal approval and accreditation.
- Implementation
- Training of instructors
- Creating appropriate learning environment
- Admission of students
- Actual delivery of the programme
- Assessment of learning outcomes and award of diplomas
- Evaluation and quality assurance
- On-going monitoring and periodic review of the programme
- Assessment of the extent to which the programme achieves its objectives and impact
