The ADVANCE Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship is structured around a total of 1,200 notional hours of student workload and is equivalent to 40 ECTS credits. The programme comprises 14 courses, each described in detail in the curriculum:
Each course combines theoretical and practical components. The theoretical component includes lectures as well as case studies, while the practical component is grounded in service-learning and experiential learning methodologies. These are implemented in collaboration with external partners through mentorship schemes, placements, internships, and collaborative projects. Taken together, the courses guide students through the full process of innovation and enterprise creation. Teaching and learning materials include lectures, case studies, learning activities and assignments, self-assessment tests, and supporting handouts. The programme culminates in a pitching event, where students present their social innovation or social enterprise ideas to potential investors.
